relationships with students and inviting them to become involved in the life of the Church while they are here.  Funding is also needed to support the campus ministry program.

 

Opportunities for Development

 

Gathering Space – Each year, more than 100 people call our church looking for a place to have a wedding or other event.  Parishes  throughout the Diocese of Washington often ask to schedule retreats for their vestries, parish and/or youth groups.  Currently, our parish hall and staff are not adequate to accommodate these requests, resulting in missed opportunities for evangelism and generating new sources of income for the parish.  The bottom line: we need a new parish hall. We have talked about it for years, but so far, have made little progress.

 

Creating a larger parish hall suitable for formal receptions, informal gatherings, Sunday school classes, meeting and work spaces, has the potential of bringing a significant amount of income to the parish through rents received from hosting community events.
