compensation for St. Mary’s College (or equivalent) students who are approved to serve in such capacities as Sunday School teachers or  co-leaders of Children’s Chapel.  The bulk of funding in this area supports a half-time professional staff person as Christian education director and de facto youth minister. Additional funding supports program design or purchase, subsidized travel and materials, teacher training (including training required by the diocese), and scholarships  enabling  participation by individuals of limited means. The  additional 2009 funds would be used to expand program offerings at the parish, and to provide some support for parishioners to attend programs  offsite.

Campus Ministry is central to Christ’s call upon this parish.  In fulfilling that call we promote spiritual growth through worship, Bible study, service and fellowship.  We provide friendship and             encouragement and foster personal and spiritual growth and       wellness.

The purpose of the Campus Ministry to St. Mary’s College of   Maryland is to plan and implement activities and programs that foster the students,  faculty, and staff’s spiritual  development.

· To promote the relationship between the college and the church

· To foster ecumenical and interfaith experiences

· To encourage students of all faiths to gather regularly with those who share their faith

· To involve students in the life and ministries of St. Mary’s     Parish

· To be a visible presence of ministry in St. Mary’s City

We hope to expand our ministry to the campus community during the 2008-2009 school year. Plans under consideration
