What is a Narrative Budget? Our resources, be they financial, personal, corporate, or in some other form, are gifts from God meant for the greater glory of God. We are blessed with many resources in this parish; our budget is—or at least should be—our way of putting them all in service of our shared vision for God’s ministry through us in this place. A conventional budget tells a story, in crisp figures, of how our financial resources are collected and used. A narrative budget uses descriptions and graphs to indicate how we would like to fulfill the mission to love God, and neighbors as ourselves. The Stewardship Committee has chosen to describe our mission in five broad groups of ministries and to apportion our expenses according to them. They are: · Liturgy & Music · Congregational Health, Pastoral Care & Fellowship · Christian Education, Formation, Campus Ministry & Seminarian Training · Buildings & Grounds · Outreach |
