Target Session

I asked 7 of the guys to spend the night at my house on the way to the "1st Annual Bowsite Hunt" to help make the trip a little shorter for them. Most arrived early in the afternoon and asked if I had a target set up, I did. They all got there bows out and most had new "Mariah" bows to show off. Each bow was as different as the next and better looking then the previous one.

Now I never really shot traditional, except at sting rays in the water, and was impressed with them hitting the target at 20 yds. Each person took turns at the target, approx 4' by 4', and like I said before hitting the target.

After everyone shot "Moose" took out an older bow and started shooting. I had just started dinner on the grill and was heading toward the house and heard an unmistakable "THUMP". I turned around and saw an arrow sticking out of my shed about one foot over the target. Now everyone has a bad day and it wasn't over for moose or my shed. Moose took another arrow out and let fly...."THUMP" again, now two arrows are sticking out and paint cans are going off in the shed where they have passed through it. Moose looks at me and takes yet another arrow out and draws and lets go....."THUMP", guess what a nice groups all sticking out of my shed. Moose has a look that tells me that I could now pick up a bow real cheap. Come to find out he has an arrow rest on above the shelf and his point of aim is higher, he removes it and shoots as well as ever. I am just glad I never finished putting up the vinyl siding on that side of the shed yet, the inside is now painted a nice flat black from the paint cans though.
