HI!

2001 was a year of exciting events!  In February, Trent and I became owners and managers of One of a Kind Gallery.  In May, I graduated from the Corcoran College of Art  and Design in Washington, DC. with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts.  Our wedding was June 30, and we bought a new house in July!

My senior show, which was up in one of the main Corcoran galleries for a few weeks, expressed my position on animal rights and illustrated on very large canvasses some of the horrors of the meat industry (see example).  I am a staunch advocate of animal liberation, and a strict vegan (I eat no meat , dairy, or anything derived from animals, and I don't wear leather or use other animal-based products).  Before we bought the Gallery, I worked for a wonderful company, Pangea, that sells vegan products by mail order.  Check it out (and my picture) at http://www.veganstore.com!

Our wedding, at Herrington on the Bay in Calvert County, was a big party and lots of fun.  Of course, the food was all vegan!  Click here to see the wedding program.  Friends and relatives came from far and near, making an entire week of celebration.

One of a Kind Gallery has become a huge part of our lives!  Trent has become an expert picture framer and does all of the custom framing business.  I handle the purchasing and selling of art.  I also give painting and drawing lessons and occasionally paint murals in the homes of clients.  Both of us work
on the coffee bar and interact with our wonderful customers.

Our new house is a cozy beach cottage just one house from the Bay.  It was completely remodelled by the previous owner, although the original house is about 70 years old.

We have three cats (Maddy, Frida, and Leroy), and Leroy and a dog (Debbie) who keep us busy and entertained.
