Human Performance Systems, Inc. | HPSI |
HPSI is a women-owned small business that is incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
HPSI has its roots in Karen Medsker and Associates (KMA). KMA was started in November of 1990 by its principal, Dr. Karen Medsker, to address a growing demand for her expertise as a human performance technologist. Dr. Medsker and her associates provided the design, development and implementation of training systems in addition to performance improvement strategies, performance management, and career development. KMA's clients included Booz-Allen & Hamilton, the World Bank, the New York Stock Exchange, the U.S. General Accounting Office, the FBI Academy, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Veterans' Benefits Academy, the Internal Revenue Service, SATO Travel, Public Allies, The Institute for Professional Education, New Century Management, HGL, and Human Technology. Dr. Medsker presently serves as the President of HPSI.
In early 1997, KMA decided to expand its business area to include the development of expert systems, artificial neural networks, and other intelligent computer systems. These complement the other performance improvement technologies already offered by KMA. This expansion of services lead to the formation of HPSI.
As in any newly-formed business, HPSI's strength is in the qualifications and experience of its principals and associates. HPSI's three principals collectively have more than 85 years of solid experience in the fields of human resources and information systems, particularly instructional systems, expert systems and federal personnel & pay systems. HPSI prides itself in providing only the best in services and products.
HPSI's customers include American Management Systems, Inc., PeopleSoft, Inc., Integrated Management Systems, Inc., Weber and Associates, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the U.S. Department of Labor.
