HPSI has been involved in Web development since 1996. Larry Medsker, Chief Scientist at HPSI, has been the director or a developer on numerous projects for HPSI and in other professional efforts.

Dr. Medsker worked with the U.S. Deparment of Labor to design the process for developing Web-based expert systems as part of elaws. His team developed the first four systems, which are now part of the many popular and successful elaws systems. Those early systems developed by HPSI are

At American University, Dr. Medsker has been a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, where he designed, developed, and taught a course in Creativity & Computers. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Computer Sceince, Audio Technology, & Physics, where he also developed and maintains the Physics Website. He is the Director of the program for the B.S. in Multmedia Design & Development and designed and directed the development of the MMDD Website.
